As an artist who primarily works in paint, papermaking was a medium I first tried a few years ago. It was an instant love affair. Choosing my large palette in advance, arriving to see the different colored pulps laid out in buckets, like a huge crayon box, I felt like a kid in a candy store. While my sources of inspiration – the landscape and its atmosphere, city streets with oil patterns reflected in the sky, backlit windows and the objects and architecture illuminated by them – are seen in those works, it is the process itself that consumes me. I hope that this passion will reflect inself onto you when you view these works.
