Jesse Ross was introduced to clay watching neighborhood potter Dan Finnegan throw in his Fredericksburg, VA shop. He began throwing at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA and never looked back. In 2004, he and Tracy Shell relocated to Nebraska so he could pursue his MFA at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
Following graduation, he began teaching at colleges and universities in and around Omaha. 13 years later, his eclectic experience as an instructor includes 2D and 3D Design, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics and more.
In 2012 he and Tracy Shell launched Clementine Porcelain Inc., a wholesale design and production company specializing in slip cast porcelain tableware. They currently serve retail clients throughout the US and beyond.
Last but not least, he is the Ceramics Technician at the Union for Contemporary Art in Omaha.
