Jane Booth is known for monumentally scaled, color-saturated paintings on raw
canvas. She lives and works on a ranch outside of Kansas City, incorporating the broad
vistas of her surroundings into felt space in her canvases.
Booth has a B.F.A. from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, and
furthered her education in Kansas City in classes at the Kansas City Art Institute and with
Philomene Bennett, master abstract painter. Her works can be found in numerous
private, corporate collections, including: Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cisco Systems, H&R
Block World Headquarters, Hilton Hotels, Kansas University Hospital, Emprise Bank in
Wichita, and the Albrecht-Kemper Museum. She was the permanent featured artist in
then Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius’ offices and chambers.
